Latinos in Finance

Basic banking (cash handling, customer service, counterfeit currency, check fundamentals, compliance, safety & security, 10 key) and power skills for starting your career at a bank, credit union, or financial institution. Group training is paired with individualized financial coaching sessions.

The program runs Monday – Friday from 1-4PM for a total of six weeks.

Eligibility requirements: 18+ years of age, High School Diploma or equivalent, clean criminal record, able to work in U.S., six months cash handling and/or customer service experience.

Para-Educator (Parent2Para)

This is a nine-month program running on the public school system calendar. The first semester, September – December, is focused on classroom instruction and job readiness.  The second semester, January – May, is a paid internship in a classroom and a three-credit college course at Northern Essex Community College. Group training is paired with individualized financial coaching sessions.

Students are expected to attend sessions Monday – Thursday 9:00am – 1:00pm and Fridays 9:00am – 12:30 pm.

Eligibility requirements: 18+ years of age, High School Diploma or equivalent, clean criminal record, able to work in U.S.
