Born in Scotland and raised in Andover, Josh Miner has devoted his life to making the world better for those around him. His early education included time abroad in Spain and Guatemala before he received his BS in Engineering from Lafayette College in Civil Engineering.
While he put this degree to immediate use at Proctor & Gamble, he also spent time in his early career working with adjudicated youth in Boulder, CO before pursuing a career in textile manufacturing. Josh spent 35 years in the textile industry and was President of Game Time Fabrics until his retirement in 2018. Josh has served on numerous academic, industry, and charitable boards and committees, including the Second Congregational Church in Boxford, the United Way of the Merrimack Valley, Governor’s Academy in Byfield, and The Charlotte Home; however, he is most beloved in Lawrence for his long service as a Trustee of The Nathaniel and Elizabeth P. Stevens Foundation (starting in 1983) and as Managing Trustee of both The Nathaniel and Elizabeth Stevens Foundation and The Abbot and Dorothy Stevens Foundation (from 2002), where he has supported and nurtured dozens of nonprofit organizations, leaders, and collaborative efforts. Josh is a founding member of the Greater Lawrence Donors’ Collaborative, a group of local funders and business leaders who meet to discuss issues of interest in the Greater Lawrence philanthropic world, and the Committee Chair for the Greater Lawrence Summer Fund, which supports summer education, recreation and life skills training for Greater Lawrence youth.
