Asset Building
Department

Economic stability depends on the capacity of an individual or family to build assets: a home, a business, higher education and training, and supportive networks. These assets are a foundation for local economic progress, and LCW knows that developing them are key for Lawrence families to thrive. Our goal is to help you achieve your full potential with opportunities to build savings, credit, assets, and keep them long-term.

Our Services

Buying a home is a meaningful but often overwhelming goal. LCW’s Homeownership Center helps community members become informed, stable homeowners through financial education, mortgage readiness, and consumer protection support.

We support low- and moderate-income tenants at risk of eviction by working with landlords and tenants to find mutually beneficial solutions. Tenants receive financial and housing counseling, while landlords are offered mediation and referrals to foreclosure prevention and training services when appropriate.
